
Services – Transitional Living
This program is in place for youth who, due to dysfunctional families or lack of alternative safe living arrangements, cannot live at home and can benefit from training in independent living skills. The Village Network provides safe shelter, food and clothing, individual and group counseling as well as the training and education necessary to transition to living independently. Services include life skills classes, assistance with finding employment, GED preparation, and community activities.
Program Admission Criteria:
- Male and female youth
- Ages 16 – 21 years
Services Include:
- Therapy as required including a “Level System” which encourages and rewards success
Educational instruction may include the following:
- In-house; one-on-one tutoring, small group tutoring/instruction, on-line credit recovery, on-line educational skill development, GED preparation
- Possible attendance at local public school, trade schools and college
- Recreational and leisure activities including community activities
- Learning daily work skills and working
